Quotey Quotes
If you are a regular visitor to this site or just an observant visitor you’ll notice I’m a big fan of quotes. I have a habit of collecting little sayings and quotes I hear or read throughout daily life. These quotes have been strained across word document, scraps of paper, the occational tweet, or who knows where else. Point being, these quotes have mostly been kept to myself.
Quotey is an attempt to publish this collection I’ve amassed for everyone to enjoy. It’s a pretty basic site and still under constant development. I’ll be adding quotes and impoving the site on a regular basis.
The people that read this blog are getting the first chance to look around and enjoy the site. If you find any problems or see something that can be improved please let me know. You can leave a comment here or message me on twitter. Any input is appreciated.

Simple Slate – WordPress Theme
Simple Slate is a WordPress theme based on the 2nd version of this blog. It uses many of the features added in WordPress 3.0 including…
1. Custom Backgrounds

4. Custom sidebar content for home, pages, and posts

8. Feature Images show up in the posts admin section of your blog (see image below). If there is a feature image for a post, it will be displayed within your admin section. This is great for people that tend to associate posts with pictures, as I often do.
This would be the first WordPress theme I have released into the public. It is released under the GNU General Public License, as is with most WordPress content. The theme is made to be pretty minimal. Personally, I don’t think it looks/works well with many widgets. There is lots of room for customizing though. The code has some comments in it. Marker I – Handwritten Font
Here is my first attempt at making a font. Pretty basic handwritten font. Certainly looks like a child’s handwriting, so the lined paper seemed fitting. Released under the creative commons licensing. You’re welcome to use and adapt the font, just share alike. If you feel inclined, let me know when the font has been used in your work, not necessary though.
It Was All Yellow – Tumblr Theme
This is a customizable theme for a Tumblr blog.
- Colors can be changed without going into the code, through the Tumblr customize menu.
- If Tumblr has your twitter account info, a link to your page will appear in the header next to RSS.
- The title of your blog will appear at the bottom of the page, there is padding so you can read the full name when a person scrolls to the bottom.
- On the permalink for your post, Tumblr Notes will appear for any likes or re-blogs.
- The random button will display a random post from your blog everytime its clicked.
This isn’t my first tumblr theme (everything random), but the first one I’ve made for other people to use. It’s a pretty simple theme. I haven’t tested it in IE, mostly because I don’t like IE and didn’t have a Windows computer to test it on.
